Interactive PowerPoint

Interactive PowerPoint
Well,I really think that all of us have learned a lot about interactive PowerPoint. It was such a great experience working on a project of this kind and I think that we all did great on our day of the presentation during the lecture on 20th May.I wanted to write about this topic not only because I’ve learned a lot about interactive PowerPoint, but even because I think that this is a great way to enhance students’ learning and engage them more in the learning process. We have seen so far students who have applied all the great things we learned about interactive PowerPoint in their presentations as ‘teachers’.We are all witnesses of how engaging and appealing was their way of teaching because of using interactive PowerPoint.
I am actually eager to make use of interactive PowerPoint as a teacher.I will definitely encourage my students to make use of this tool in their projects. We are future English teachers and this allows us to use different technological tools in our classes.Interactive PowerPoint is a good way of making the learning of English attractive.I really think that we can also have our students making use of interactive PowerPoint. For example, they have to introduce their family to their peers.Students can insert photos and use hyperlinks in order to have the information about their families appear only after they click on the photo.
I also think that we can make the learning of grammar and vocabulary more tangible if we use interactive PowerPoint in our classes. For example, students will read a story. It would be so interesting to use animations and make one photo appear one after the other. You may also use sounds and add more effect to the story.I guess this is greater than having students read the story in such a traditional way.Using interactive PowerPoint can help students develop their critical thinking skills and add more predictability to the story. They can enjoy the story just because of those small details (the sounds, having one information or photo appear one after the other) that only interactive PowerPoint enables us to do make use of.
Another great way of using interactive PowerPoint can be to use hyperlinks to open a file or a specific web page.We really want to guide our students in building their own knowledge. To accomplish that we can just give some basic ideas on a concept and then use hyperlinks to lead students to a file or a web page,They can that way expand their knowledge on the concept or topic that is introduced to them. For example,a student may need more information and more exercises on different grammar patterns.
You can also create games by using interactive PowerPoint.Using games in the teaching process adds more pleasure to the learning process. Not only kids but even adults like games and just the idea of learning through games attracts their attention.                                                                                 Actually there are a lot more things to say about interactive PowerPoint and the numerous ways of using it into the teaching process.I strongly believe that a combination of interactive PowerPoint with the blackboard can really help students broaden their horizons.

Thank u for your attention!
I really hope u enjoyed my post despite its length!
